Backups and recovery
Backups¶
Backups are performed on 2 levels, application level (files and database) and infrastructure level (disk snapshots).
Depending on the nature of the restore (file restore, server restore in case of a disaster) we use either the application or server backups, or a combination of the 2.
We use storage functionalities in Google Cloud that are configured to have built-in geographical redundancy (= stored at least in 2 regions in the EU).
Production environments¶
The default schedule and retention of backups depends on the type of hosting tier:
